Jamez Winston has been cleared to practice for the first time since suffering a broken right thumb in training camp, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday.
In addition, the Buccaneers will wear new uniforms in their opening game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
It’s not clear when Winston will return to the field.
He’s been in and out of the lineup since injuring his right thumb on Sept. 15.
The first-year quarterback has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury, and he was inactive again after missing four games with another concussion.
Winston has struggled in his three starts this season.
The Buccaneers were 1-4 when he started in Week 4.
